Weekend again...we started off pretty well. Thomas came home on time, got a rental car and headed home. (A little Nissan with strong acceleration.)
Friday was the day to bring Christy's car back to the dealer. One more thing to fix. Good advice to all car buyers, never buy a first year model, there are just too many things that need fixing. Anyway, Thomas spent the rest of the day at work in the office. Meanwhile Christy drove the zippy Nissan to her work and Tyler took the bus to school.
In the afternoon things became hectic. After getting the Beamer back from the dealer, Thomas fought his way through traffic. Hard to believe that traffic is so bad from 3:30pm on. Well, Christy met up, we returned the car and headed home to prepare for a night out in town. After several failed attempts we managed to go out with the Smith family. The chosen place was Kincaid's. It had mixed reviews but we can only report good things about this place. After a breaded, warm brie and some flank steak amuse-bouches we moved on to real food. It was simply delicious and the dessert crowned a wonderful evening.
Saturday, the usual stuff. Grocery shopping, running around to get errands done. Outstanding:
- Thomas sold his first item on eBay. After postal and eBay fees he made a profit of 25$, easy money seems like.
- After many years, Thomas closed the Desert Schools credit union account
- We found some time to go swimming together
- 3rd family home evening (well guys, we have it on Satuday); this time under the direction of Thomas on the topic of change
And in closing...please find below the goofy picture of the week: Tyler having gone wild in the play structure.
