With the scouts (Voyager Ward), Tyler created an award winning card board. After weeks of work to take the cardboard, cut it, building a boat and waterproofing it, the big had come. The day of the regatta on Tempe lake. Tyler and a team of scouts participated in multiple heats and won the big trophy. Well done folks!

Here she comes...Sydney's first birthday. This was interesting. I was center of attention and could go swimming with Mammy. I just love the pool. Afterwards there were cupcakes although I really liked the bread. Why do adults make such a big deal about the cupcakes when there is good bread to be had? Needless to say, I loved my first birthday.

Summer found us in Oahu. This was the first trip to Hawaii with a baby. Vacation is sure different with a little one. On the good news side, Sydney spent a predictable time sleeping. Christy and I enjoyed Ted's bakery which was close by (walking distance.) We would often walk up there and enjoy a drink or a slice of their Haupia cake. On other occasions Tyler and I would drive up to shark's cove to be among the first to snorkel and journey among sea life

We spent a few days in Disneyland at the greatest place in the world. Sydney was amazed by all the lights and light (at least the beginning of) the parade.

Tyler's birthday again. Once more an event at laser quest. Seems like Tyler really likes this venue. At the same time this allows Tyler to get back in touch with people from his Chandler school time.
