Thanksgiving dinner we made the Turkey. People seem to especially like the stuffing. So let's try to document how I recall the recipe.
- 4 celery stalks
- 1 small onion
- 4 slices of bacon
- 1 green chili
- fresh sage and thyme
- spring onion
- dice celery, chili and onion finely
- dice bacon into small cubes
- dice sage and thyme very finely
- dice spring onion
- mix all up and pan fry until onion is glassy then let cool
- add about 300g of stuffing (bread) from the store and mix thoroughly
- stuff the turkey or chicken breast very tightly then cook until meat reaches the recommended temperature
Note: This is a basic recipe for stuffing. I have first used it for turkey but then used the rest for stuffed chicken breast (shown in pictures). You should vary this to your taste, e.g. add two tbsp of honey, some walnuts or raisins. The limit is your thoughtful creativity.
