This is a recipe we got from auntie Delilah. Christy has meanwhile perfected its preparation.


 Dressing

  • 1/2 cup of Mayonnaise
  • 5 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Salad

  • 2 cups rice
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • lettuce
  • mandarin slides
  • roasted almonds 
  • dry Chinese noodles (e.g. from an instant noodle pack)

Dressing

  1. whisk mayo, oil, soy sauce and vinegar into a dressing
  2. add sugar
  3. add garlic powder

Salad

  1. boil rice 
  2. crush tasted almonds
  3. dice chicken and pan fry 
  4. rinse and cut lettuce
  5. add warm rice on top of the lettuce
  6. top the rice with a few dices of the pan fired chicken
  7. decorate with mandarin slices
  8. finish off with crushed almonds and dry Chinese noodles
  9. spoon some of the dressing over the salad

Comment: Great salad for the hot summer season!
