• Preparation Time: about 90 minutes

Bread has always been a major component of our household. As a student Thomas would regularly get up early to make some sour dough bread. The recipe below is a simple, standard bread.  Easy to do and likely to lead to success (easily.)

  • 500g Flour
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 15g Yeast
  • 3dl liquid (water or milk)
  • drizzle of olive oil

  1. put the flour into a large bowl
  2. add the salt and mix well with the flour
  3. dissolve the year in parts of the hand warm liquid - make sure that the liquid is not to hot or it will kill the yeast
  4. mix liquid and flour to a dough - The dough should have the elasticity of the skin of your palm
  5. form the dough a ball and leave it covered in a warm spot
  6. wait until the volume dough's has doubled
  7. form the dough into breads; cover and let it rest for 10 minutes
  8. meanwhile preheat the oven to 200C
  9. bake for 20-30min for small breads the size shown in the picture and 30-50 minutes if you create one or two loaves

Trick: spray or paint the hot bread with water or sugared water to get a shiny surface
